25th Annual Child Abuse Prevention
CELEBRITY NIGHT
Thursday April 3, 2008 - 6-10 p.m.

April 3, 2008, hundreds of patrons dined at restaurants throughout Hampton Roads at the 26th Annual Prevent Child Abuse Celebrity Night to raise money for the prevention of child abuse and neglect.

More than a hundred media, political, sports, and entertainment celebrity volunteers waited tables and regaled restaurant patrons to garner big tips for the cause. T-shirts and aprons with this year’s logo were sold to patrons to help carry the Prevent Child Abuse Hampton Roads (PCAHR) message home that “It Shouldn’t Hurt to Be a Child.” Sydney Davis of Virginia Beach won the TV with a raffle ticket purchased at Havana.

The event raised over $26,000 for the prevention of child abuse and neglect in Hampton Roads. Il Giardino, thanks to the hard work of Dan Ryan from Dan Ryan’s for Men, finished first in the contest to raise the most money for the cause. Sinclair Communication’s Lisa Sinclair chaired Havana - Nimmo into a second place finish. Regardless of the final standings, attendees at all of the restaurants reported having great fun.
